| General Overview | Flirtatious, spirited and attractively confident in her own skin, Leyha would most certainly be considered attractive by most. She is a consummate social butterfly, melting easily into a crowd and making conversation effortlessly. | Personal History | Leyha's parents worshipped the idea of being joined to a symbiont. To them there was no greater state of existence to have; while they themselves were ineligible to be joined, they knew that a child of theirs would always have a chance at being considered suitable as a host, and as such decided that they would create a candidate that the Symbiosis Commission simply could not say no to. As such, the cries of young Leyha Vaas were first heard in 2347, in the maternity ward of the hospital her parents worked in. Unfortunately for the young girl, that was where the similarities between her life's story and others ended. Her strictly regimented upbringing began as soon as her parents took her through the door to their home. What she was allowed to learn was strictly regulated, for one, with the intention of keeping her laser focused on their goal of making her into their perfect joining candidate. Normal days with the tutors her parents hired from among their colleagues consisted mostly of study and reading of whatever textbooks and material they felt was suitable for her to consume. Freedom was severely limited; the young Trill was not allowed most of the freedoms and liberties her peers at school had, which did not go unnoticed by the young girl. This would go on for nineteen years of her life, with her parents' overbearingly strict regimen ensuring that her grades were always kept painfully up to par. Eventually the time came for her to apply to the Commission as a potential candidate. With bated breath she and her parents stood before the panel that was to deliver judgment upon her eligibility as a candidate... |
